DairyCheq MilkGuard™: a proven, unique electronic time and temperature recorder
With an excellent reputation for its milk quality programs, A&L Laboratories is excited to add the DairyCheq MilkGuard as another quality milk tool. Combining proven performance, award-winning technology, straightforward installation, accessible service and an economical cost, the MilkGuard uses a digital clock combined with the input data from three separate sensors to follow milking, storage and wash procedures.
Research at the University of Guelph found that dairies averaged one alarm per month, with insufficient pipe cleaning being the most common alarm. In addition, the MilkGuard alerted producers to a high blend temperature, insufficient tank cleaning and slow cooling. The study also proved that milk bacteria counts were lower on farms that had the MilkGuard system.
Along with being an approved DHI timer, the DairyCheq MilkGuard monitors:
- The cooling status of milk in the bulk tank
- Pipe line wash
- Bulk tank wash
- Chemical concentration in the wash
